With jaw-dropping scenery, amazing lifestyle, and incredible wildlife, Australia is an ideal place for studying or pursuing higher studies. Also, they offer a range of scholarships, bursaries, and fellowships for Indian/international students.

The scholarships are given on the basis of three considerations  - need, merit, and course requirements. The scholarship grant varies from $2000 to 100% tuition fee in some cases.

Two Main Types of Scholarships in Australia for Indian Students

Merit-based scholarship:

As the name suggests, this scholarship is based on merit. You must have an amazing academic record and be awarded by the chancellor, vice-chancellor, and dean.

Government Scholarship:

Australia's government offers a variety of scholarships aimed at fostering international relations and supporting academic pursuits. The Australia Awards scholarship program, based on merit, aims to enhance bilateral ties between Australia and other countries. For those pursuing higher education, such as PhD and postgraduate students, there are the Endeavour Scholarships. The Research Training Programme (RTP) provides grants specifically for research students.
